Dubai International Airport sets new record, with 44.9 million guests in first half of 2024 🛫


Dubai International Airport (DXB) has once again set a new record, having welcomed 44.9 million guests in the first six months of 2024.
The figure marks an 8 per cent year-on-year increase in guests, not only reaffirming DXB’s position as a globally-lauded international gateway, but also reiterating its central role in supporting Dubai’s economic growth. DXB is connected to 269 destinations across 106 countries, and served by 101 international airlines.
Dubai attracted 9.31 million international visitors in H1 2024, reflecting its burgeoning appeal as a global hub for talent, enterprises, and investors. These figures, recently released by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, tie in closely with the growth of Dubai’s GDP, which reached AED 115 billion in Q1 2024, up 3.2 per cent from the previous year.

Compared to the same period in 2023:
– Number of Passengers – 44.9 million, rose by 8%
– Number of Flights – 216,000, increased by 7%
It is planned to receive 91.8 million passengers by the end of the year.
